It’s said that most people in America are three minutes away from a McDonalds. That supplying electric wheelchairs are an industry standard for any moderate to large size retail chain store because many customers fatigue to quickly. That clothing manufacturers must recalculate material costs per unit differently when the target market for their products is the US, all to take in account a larger size standard.
These are all firm indications that the majority of America is living off the fat of the land and are too fat because of it. Collectively, we are all too fat for our own good.
What does this mean for us Preppers? It means we need to get more exercise. I’m not saying we all fall out at 5 AM and do calisthenics, (actually not a bad idea), but rather, work toward doing something besides sitting at a computer surfing the internet.

What I mean is, we need to get more exercise anyway we can, even if it’s just parking the car at the far end of the parking lot & walking further. Or actually taking the dog for a walk, not just sitting on the porch letting the dog sniff the neighbors petunias.
You don’t have to be a marathon runner, a lycra-clad cyclist, or a power mall walker, but each of those pastimes will make you more fit & will burn up those Big Mac thighs. Most importantly it will make you healthier, less dependent on medicine & doctors…. the true SHTF things to prep for.
