What Does It Really Mean Practically To Bugout?

This week on the 7 P’s Of Survival Show we will be talking about all things surrounding what bugging out would be like. We will be exploring what you should include in a bug out bag/go bag/woods bag/shtf bag/ etc. and what are a few things we believe are essential to a kit no matter your situation. We are fortunate enough to have a great guest this week to dig into these topics, Jim Cobb! Jim is a published author many times over in the preparedness community, operates the website www.survivalweekly.com and owns a preparedness consulting. Jim is also a member of the Professional Prepared Bloggers Association and puts out a lot of great content on emergency preparedness, survival and preparedness in general.

The hour will be filled with reality checks from two guys who have spent a ton of time in the woods testing gear and pushing their skills in all environments and weather conditions. We will talk about the realities of long-term woodland living, the hunter/gather lifestyle, knowledge base needed to make moving to the woods a reality, surviving the first winter; what your bug out bag probably doesn’t have to effect long-term self reliance and much more!

We will then cover post collapse life and what skills could be extremely handy to have in your tool bag for that new lifestyle. We will also explore what we believe the trade market would be post collapse and what each of us foresee as the cash substitute after a complete financial collapse. While trade goods may vary with what the incident was (short term the dollar will be fine, financial collapse silver/gold may be best and full collapse beans and bullets) we will discuss the things we believe are quasi universal for all incidents.
