1 (22s):
Starting at a very young age, all the way up. Welcome to the gunmetal armory. Here’s your host. Dang D what’s up everybody. This is Dane from the gunmetal armory. Last week I was not available.
1 (54s):
We were busy moving in fully into our house. It’s really hard to get everything set up. When you don’t know where everything is, you trying to find your computer and your microphone, your podcast equipment, and all the stuff that you need to do, what you do. And it was very, very difficult to find that being said, you know, I was lucky enough to have miles and a friend of his to help me throughout most of this process, which is awesome.
1 (1m 27s):
I cannot think that man enough, I also met a buddy of his, which is a definitely a like-minded individual. Very, very good to meet you, sir. I did appreciate your help very much. And if you guys are wondering, even though they are my friends, I do make sure that I take care of them when they helped me move. Some people, you know, some people don’t do anything for their friends and they help them move, but we all hate moving.
1 (1m 60s):
No one likes to move. So I, well I’m, I don’t know. Maybe there’s somebody out there. That’s like, Oh man, I get a new apartment every month. I love it. That’s a crazy person. You probably should stay away from them. But I do make sure that if any of my friends help me move, I compensate them. So anyways, wow. I don’t know what to say about the world right now. The world is getting strange as getting weirder and weirder.
1 (2m 35s):
By the moment tonight, we are going to dive a little bit deeper into we’re surviving civil unrest, surviving riots, things like that. I think we didn’t really cover it as deeply as I wanted to the week, two weeks ago with miles, we did do a great show. Obviously we always do a great show, but I think there’s some other things that need to be addressed.
1 (3m 9s):
You know, for example, what, what if you’re in a riot? I mean, and you’re on the opposing side or if you’re a counter protestor or whatever, what kinds of weaponry might you face from the opposition? You know, what are they going to have? What if you get caught in, you know, like getting trampled, you know, what, if you get caught, you know, we’re a whole bunch of people are moving in one direction and you can’t get away in time. You know, you might get trampled, you know, we need to talk about that.
1 (3m 41s):
All kinds of good stuff. You know, it’s important to get these things out of the way and talk about them because it is definitely something that people are not considering, especially, especially right now, I guess, is the best way to put it right now. People are not considering these things. The other thing you need to look at too, is what are the police department officers?
1 (4m 17s):
You know, what are the officers going to do to quell that mob that you happen to get caught in? Or what are what’s the national guard going to do? You know, I mean, these guys have a variety of less lethal options and, you know, you might get caught up in some of those less lethal options and you need to know what to do in those situations. I mean, I don’t know if we’ll get into much of all of this stuff, I’m just going to kind of roll with it and see where things go now normally, and I’m sure miles can attest to this and no, he is not with us tonight.
1 (4m 58s):
Normally I have a, not a script, but I have a theories of notes written for my shows to keep me on topic and to keep me in the right vein for what I want to discuss. But tonight, well today I think I’m just going to go ahead and wing it.
1 (5m 29s):
You know, I don’t, I don’t always need notes. I don’t always have notes. Sometimes I just, you know, kind of get on a tear and I started talking, you know, I mean, I think we all have that ability to do that. I know James Walton is very good at that. You know, he will just start talking about a subject man, and he can just go, go, go. He just, his mind works faster than most peoples I’ve ever seen or talked to. Danielle Walton is fast, fast, fast, dude, which I think it’s cool.
1 (6m 1s):
I think it’s really cool. Me. I got to sit back and think, and you know, is that what I want to say? Is that how I want to say that, you know, how is it going to come off as I say it this way or that way so on and so forth. So, you know, that’s the way that I look at it anyways, moving on from there, the country is getting weird and I don’t, I don’t think I’m going to do a product pitch tonight.
1 (6m 33s):
I just don’t feel like it. So I don’t think I’m gonna, I’m just going to, you know, keep moving forward and do some announcements and stuff this week and actually the last two weeks, because I wasn’t able to do your show last week. So these last two weeks in America, I mean, wow, man, I just, I don’t know. It’s crazy. You know, like I, I don’t know how much more we can take.
1 (7m 9s):
I don’t know how much more the country can handle when it comes to this stuff. This, this stuff is just getting completely out of hand. It is it’s, it’s crazy. It’s, it’s flat out nuts, you know, like after the initial riots for, I forget the guy’s name, George something or other after the initial riots for that whole thing, you know, and I’m not going to call them protests because most of them were riots.
1 (7m 40s):
Okay. There were a couple of peaceful protests, which is fine. That’s, you know, America is founded on that. That’s okay. But you know, I do not have any love for people who go around hurting other people and hurting businesses and hurting the economy in that area. I got no love for that. That’s not okay. You know, but I’m just willing to die. So who cares? What I think right. Anyways, it’s, it’s crazy how, how crazy things have gotten lately.
1 (8m 14s):
I don’t, I don’t know how much more our country can handle. I know that, you know, there’s this whole thing with the, with the COVID-19 you really kinda, really kinda kicked the butt out of our country, you know? And I think there were some people who were making it worse. I think there’s a lot of people who, you know, shouldn’t be taking steps to slow the spread and they’re not, you know, I think it’s important that we’re aware of it, but at the same time, most of the information we get, I don’t know if we can depend on it.
1 (8m 58s):
I don’t know if it’s true, you know? I mean, and that’s the real crux of all this stuff. I mean, there’s obviously a virus, right? There’s obviously the COVID-19 thing. That’s real, you know, but I keep hearing reports that, you know, here at Arizona, we’re having the most cases, you know, ever in, in a day and then we’re out in the most cases ever. And the next day, and then, you know, it just keeps going bigger and bigger and bigger. And I don’t know if shutting down this state is the right thing, but I don’t know that keeping everything open is the right thing.
1 (9m 38s):
You know, it appears that governor doosey did instigate a, a lockdown, a certain things, you know, like bars and restaurants and things like that. Or, you know, he did, he did instigate or not instigate, but initiate in order to shut down some certain things. So that’s good. But when this whole thing started, you know, pretty quick after we saw a lot of shutdown of a lot of business businesses and a lot of people lost their jobs, which is terrible.
1 (10m 14s):
It’s just terrible. But you know, did it save lives? Did it slow? The spread is slowed the spread. Yes. Did it save lives? I don’t know. I can’t, I can’t speak to that. You know, I have no idea, but it helped, you know, but at the same time, if things aren’t as bad as they appear, or if things aren’t as bad as the fricking MSM is making it out to be, then we shut down our cities and screw people out of a job for nothing.
1 (11m 1s):
You imagine that for a second and imagine what if this whole thing is no, no worse than just a normal flu. I mean, granted yeah. Normal flu could take out people. Yeah. It can. It can feel you, you know, if you’re already susceptible and stuff, of course it came everything, you know, lots of viruses can do that. You know? So why is this one special? Wow. You know, that’s, everybody’s got a different theory.
1 (11m 32s):
Anyhow. I don’t know guys. I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know what to believe. I do know that our city seemed to be burning around us. Lawlessness seems to be the order of the day. And the only people who are standing up are average citizens. You know, average citizens, people like you, people like me and the only people that are going to reclaim America are going to be people like you and people like me.
1 (12m 9s):
Okay, don’t forget that you have power. Okay? You have the power to stand up and say, I am not letting these goons into my neighborhood. It’s not going to happen. Get yourself together. A community, watch a neighborhood, watch, whatever it may be. And if you get into all the, these people are coming, then you get out in force and you stare them down. Don’t do anything violent.
1 (12m 40s):
You don’t have to engage. All you have to do is be there and stand. That’s all you have to do. Just like a cockroach. They’re going to skitter back into the darkness and they will be gone. Okay. You don’t have to worry. And ideally your community watch neighborhood watch whatever your little community security team, ideally you’ll have a few warriors on there, or heck maybe you’ve got nothing but warriors on there.
1 (13m 17s):
And when the time comes, you know, to, I dunno, zip tie a few of these people, because they’ve got Molotov cocktails and they’re about to throw it at your house, you know, handcuff and whatever. When it comes time, at least you’ll have, you know, more people on your side that are capable, you know, ready and willing to handle a dangerous situation. Okay. Hopefully it doesn’t happen. Hopefully this podcast just fades off into obscurity and we don’t have to think about it.
1 (13m 51s):
Right? Black rifle, coffee. You know what though? I do. Okay. Sidebar here. I like black rifle coffee. I do, but I really, really want to try the new disaster coffee from James Walton, you know, from a proper broadcasting. I have heard nothing but good things about that stuff. And I have not tried it yet, but if James Walton’s other ventures are any indication, this one is going to be awesome as well.
1 (14m 36s):
I can’t wait to get my hands on it guys. I just cannot wait. You know, the other cool thing about disaster coffee is that for you preppers out there, I know there’s at least two or three of you listening for you preppers out there. You can actually get disaster coffee. I’m still in the green bean form. So you don’t have to worry, you know, like about expiration or, you know, well, I mean, obviously you got to worry about food, you know, at some point, right.
1 (15m 11s):
But not like you would, if it was, you know, store bought or something like that, you know, you have a lot more options when it comes to those beans, you know, the disaster coffee stuff, I think, you know, and of course they make the regular coffee as well, you know, and they make the ground stuff. They have the beans, things like that. So yeah, that’s obviously available as well. So let’s see. Let’s see if we can find it here.
1 (15m 44s):
Disaster coffee.
2 (15m 48s):
Hmm.
1 (15m 50s):
Well, I’m sure it’s probably at prepper broadcasting doc, so, well, I mean, I would hope it’d be for sale there. Right? Anyways. So all this stuff is really important guys, moving back on topic, you know, but before I do get yourself some of that disaster coffee, and please email me at gunmetal armory g-mail dot com.
1 (16m 24s):
And tell me about it. Tell me what you think, man. Cause I love me some coffee. So I only hear from you guys. I want to know what you guys think of this stuff. Okay. Alright. Getting back on topic,
2 (16m 39s):
The,
1 (16m 42s):
The world being the way it is right now, there’s really only, I mean, even our country, not, not even, not even the world, our country being the way it is right now. I don’t think we’re left with a whole lot of solutions as far as the country goes. I think when it comes to our country that we need, we need different solutions and maybe the best thing that we can do, you know, I’ve kind of jokingly said before, you know, with miles on the show, I’ve kind of jokingly said before, you know, we’ve already got a North and South America, you know, maybe we’ll have an East and West America soon, you know, jokingly of course.
1 (17m 31s):
But I mean, is it such a bad idea? You know, I mean, it’s such a bad idea to have, you know, one group over there and one group over there and you know, just, you know, like putting, putting the kids in two corners, you know, and they’re bad, you know? I mean, is it that bad? Not, you know, I mean, it certainly can’t be any worse than what’s going on right now. You know? And granted people would have to move and there would be a lot of upheaval, you know, and things like that.
1 (18m 1s):
But I mean, people were already moving, especially because this COVID-19 thing, you know, people are already moving because they don’t have a job. So maybe now is a good time to do this. You know? Like I don’t, I don’t want to see people separate on no for any other reason than because of these highly volatile, differing political views. And it is highly volatile guys in, you know, as well as I knew, eventually it’s going to lead down that path, the CW word, it’s going to lead down that path.
1 (18m 44s):
Guys. There’s no way around it. You know, if we don’t do something okay. Because as soon as, as soon as the Republicans figure out that they’re not going to win any more elections, right. And as soon as the Democrats figure out that the Republicans aren’t going to stand for it, what do you think’s going to happen? I mean, it’s not rocket surgery.
1 (19m 15s):
It’s obvious what’s going to happen. Things are going to get out of hand and they’re going to get out of hand fast guys. I don’t, I can’t see anything else other than peaceful separation, you know? I mean just separate from each other and you guys are there. Do you, and you guys are, were there you do you, you know, I really, I, I don’t have a problem with that.
1 (19m 45s):
I know some people are like, Oh, it’s segregation. No, it’s not, dude. It’s not the same thing. It’s not something having to do with race or color or creed or religion or anything like that. All it has to do with is separating based on political views. You know, this party over here has different views in that party over there. So split them up, give them a little bit of the country and give them a little bit of the country. You know? Cause I think at some point cutting in the near future, you know, one of the parties is going to win the presidency and that party is going to be so powerful that they don’t have to have a peaceful transition of power.
1 (20m 26s):
That is a traditional in our country, peaceful transition, you know, a peaceful passing on of the guard, the power, you know, fricking Obama passed it on to Trump. It was peaceful. You know, here you go, man, you’re the president now decorate the office anyway, you want, you know, I think that, you know, at some 0.1 of these groups is going to get so powerful that they’re just not going to give up that seat again.
1 (20m 58s):
I think that’s, what’s going to happen. And we may see it sooner than later. I’m just saying anyways, you know, the world is just getting nuts, you know, that’s and this is just stuff here at home. Okay. That’s my coffee cup. By the way that, that sound that’s just here at home. All right. Now, imagine all the crap going on overseas. You know, we’ve got a fricking Russian GRU soldiers or KGB or whatever the heck they’re called this week, putting out bounties on American soldiers.
1 (21m 36s):
I mean, WTF, what is wrong with you? People? What they do you, why is this happening? No, I don’t understand. Yeah. I just, I don’t get it. I do not get it. You know, are you trying to, you know, are these Russians trying to thin out our numbers a little bit before we, you know, get into a fist fight? I don’t understand, dude. I just don’t get it. It’s stupid. It’s just stupid. You know? And then you’ve got India and China on their freaking DMZ or wherever they were, you know, and they’re literally having a fist fight, you know?
1 (22m 12s):
Oh, we agreed not to use any, any, you know, long range weapons on each other or any crews or weapons or whatever the heck their agreement was. Okay. So we’re going to go hand in hand guys, let’s get out our bandits and our swords and stuff. And let’s just do this thing like really guys really is that, is that the freaking message we want to go ahead and send now, you know, Hey, we’re third world countries that like to fight each other to death. Now I, I’m not saying that third world. I’m just saying, you know, as an example, I just, all this crap is driving me up the wall, man.
1 (22m 48s):
And that’s other than, you know, my misters a metal saying you can’t watch the news anymore. That’s one of the other reasons I don’t watch the news anymore because of all the insanity that goes on on the news. Cause I don’t, most of it, I don’t trust, but the small amount that I do trust, there’s a lot of Sandy going on on those channels as well. That being said, from what I saw last night, Tucker Carlson of Fox news is literally the highest rated cable news show in history, not the highest rated cable news show this week or this month or even this year or possibly even this decade.
1 (23m 43s):
Now he is the highest cable news commentator with the highest rating in history, period, highest ever higher than handy higher than any of those fricking puppets over at CNN higher than any of the other puppets at CBS or NBC or any of the other ones, man, he ABC CBS, NBC armed, man.
1 (24m 19s):
He sought her to all of them, which is awesome, man. It is awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Because that can only mean one thing is the viewership being up that much can only mean one thing. And I don’t know if you guys have picked up on this or not by seeing some of the, you know, podcast news and things like that. I have picked up on this, but what we’re seeing ladies and gentlemen is an awakening of the grassroots, right?
1 (24m 57s):
We are seeing an awakening of good conservative Christian or non Christian people who are fed up with what’s happening in their, in their towns. They’re fed up with what’s happening in their cities. They are done taking this crap. They are done seeing it on the news and they are not going to take this anymore.
1 (25m 32s):
They are done watching people who are innocent out to get down on their knees and kiss some dudes boots because it’s something they didn’t even do something they didn’t even have anything to do with. I think the grassroots right is fed up. I think they’re done. And I think that is what has caused the meteoric rise of Tucker Carlson.
1 (26m 4s):
Not that he wasn’t Bobby rougher because he was, but, Oh my gosh. I mean, if that guy was leading the Republican party, if that guy was leading the country, everything would change. Everything would change for the better, but this is why I think with Saddam, but Mmm.
1 (26m 36s):
Did I say Saddam? Whatever. I think that, I think that what we’re seeing is nothing short of a revolution on the right a reawakening, a reset. If you will, has come around, they finally push them too far. And guess what you’re going to get, you’re about to find out you’re about to find out guys, and that is going to be something to see.
1 (27m 14s):
Alright, I’m going to take a quick break. And when I come back, we’re going to talk about riot survival and surviving civil unrest and what you can do to make sure that you actually do survive in those environments. Okay? So don’t go away. We’ll be right back with a glass of milk. No, not really though, but don’t go away. We’ll be right back. Guys.

3 (31m 6s):
To the gun metal armory.
1 (31m 9s):
Yes sir. He is there. We are back on the gun metal armory. Before we talk about rise survival. I want to tell you guys about a situation that happened to me a couple of days ago to give you guys an idea of exactly how on edge everyone is. I was traveling down one of the roads here in Arizona and there was a three lane highway that merged into two lanes and it was the right two lanes or the middle lane and the right lane that merged into each other.
1 (31m 46s):
So I was in the middle lane and there was a guy over on my right. We were driving forward at the light, went green and there was also a car on my left on in the left lane. But that’s neither here nor there at the moment. So we’re driving and this guy basically speeds in front of me and starts to merge over which you know, it’s fine.
1 (32m 18s):
I mean, he’s supposed to yield to me, you know, that’s Arizona law, but whatever he starts to merge over and he is about to hit the front of my truck and I honked my horn at him. You know, Hey, you’re about to hit me. This guy slams on his brakes and gets out of his truck. Of course, when he slammed on his brakes, that caused me to slam on my brakes.
1 (32m 48s):
You know, obviously I don’t want to get an accident. So he slams on his brakes. I slam on mine. This guy gets out of his truck and he starts yelling about the fact that the lane merges together and yells. You saw that, you know, the lane was supposed to merge so on and so forth. Some various obscenities screaming, screaming, screaming I was laying, sir, or on a busy highway, get back in your truck.
1 (33m 21s):
Let’s move on. Well, he keeps yelling. He keeps screaming. And I say, sir, just get back in your vehicle or I’m gonna call the police. He keeps yelling. He keeps getting more and more angry. And he comes over to my truck on my, on the driver’s side, you know, where the door is and he starts yelling, get out of the effing truck. So I can have you up at this point, I’m thinking, huh?
1 (33m 57s):
I might be late for work. I’m not getting it all. It’s literally my thought. I might be late for work. So he’s yelling and yelling and doing that. And then he tries to open my door and he’s still yelling get out so I can have you up. And I yell back to him, don’t touch my truck. So he takes his fist and punches the window, the driver’s side window.
1 (34m 29s):
And at that point I started dialing nine one one, but I realized that there’s an opening on my left. So I just kind of look over at him, you know, and basically kind of make a small left into the left lane and drive off. Well, apparently that wasn’t enough for him because he got into his truck and started to follow me. I pulled into a parking lot and I thought, well, you know, probably be a good idea to have a few more witnesses.
1 (35m 5s):
So pulled into a busy shopping center, parking lot and started to drive real slow through there and called the police, you know, and told them that I had a guy following me after a road rage incident. And you know, they might want to send somebody out. Well, you know, they, they started to roll somebody and I guess the guy must have seen me on my phone and he decided to leave. You know, I told you, I don’t want to operator that. He, he had taken off you leave, you know, he left and that they could cancel the officer.
1 (35m 39s):
I, I was fine, no need to send anybody out. And you know, the lady was like, are you sure? You sure you’re okay? I’m like, yeah, I’m fine. No, no problem here. So, okay. We’ll call us back if you need anything. So I ran this by a buddy of mine who is a police officer, just to kind of get his opinion off the record, you know? Cause I, I know these guys can’t give legal advice. It’s not, you know, you just, you know, so I just want to get his thoughts, you know, so I ran it by him by the way.
1 (36m 15s):
Hello, sir. How are you? I hope you’re listening anyways. I ran it by my police officer, buddy. And he basically stated that I used incredible self-restraint, you know, I was only able to, you know, email him a very basic version of it, you know, because obviously I don’t, you know, he’s a busy guy. I don’t want him sitting there reading a frickin 15 page email. That’d be ridiculous. But you know, he said that I used incredible restraint, you know, that, you know, things could have gone a lot worse, you know, and I guess I didn’t really think about it at the time, you know, and even after he emailed me and you know, told me that after I’d asked him what his opinion was, I dunno, I guess I just didn’t give it any thought.
1 (37m 7s):
But the weirdest thing that happened during that confrontation is I didn’t have any sort of an adrenaline rush. I didn’t have any sort of fight or flight, any sort of change in my, my physio, my physical makeup. Any kind of any swaying, any, any, nothing, no adrenaline, nothing. I felt nothing.
1 (37m 38s):
You know, I even when the guy was trying to get into my vehicle, I felt nothing, which I’m not sure if that’s good. I’m not sure if that’s bad. I don’t know what that is, but it was a surprise, you know, cause generally, and I’m sure a lot of you warriors out there will know this, you know, fighters, you know, once you learn to deal with that, once you learn to use that, you like to have that adrenaline rush because it can make you stronger and it can make you faster.
1 (38m 11s):
You know? So it’s a really good thing to have, but you know, for whatever reason, my adrenaline just like, Nope, this is definitely not a threatening situation in our opinion. So we’re not going to give you any adrenaline. Huh? So anyways, silly little story. That’s how on edge people are by honking at someone because they’re were about to literally about to hit my car or my truck caused me to almost get into a fist fight basically, which could have easily accelerated into using weaponry or a million other things.
1 (38m 54s):
So, you know, I do believe that the, my officer friend was correct. You know, it was good that, that I showed restraint, you know, but often, and I’m sure a lot of you guys out there that know what you’re doing, you know, know how to fight, you know, naughty as firearms, stuff like that. I think you guys will all agree that there is a time and a place to fight, but when you know you can win. When you know you will win, there’s no need to compete.
1 (39m 24s):
If you understand where I’m coming from, there’s no need to go there because you’ve already been there and you already know the outcome and there is no, you know, no question, if you understand where I’m coming from anyways, let’s move on to the topic at hand because I have kept you guys talking about this subject for quite a while. So let’s talk about the subject at hand. Let’s talk about riots, civil unrest and surviving riots. And so on rest fair warning.
1 (39m 57s):
The show may go a little bit past an hour, but I will do the best I can because I do have a lot of stuff to do today. But I was hoping to give you guys more of a show than, you know, 20 minutes. If I have to, I can always do another show next week as well. Okay. So let’s talk about riots. Let’s talk about, you know, civil and arrest, things like that. So when it comes to civil unrest, when it comes to writing things like that, they can happen for a variety of reasons. As we all know, it could be something as simple as, you know, a trial gone wrong like Rodney King, or it could be something as bad as that, that, that poor guy that was killed by those Minneapolis police officer.
1 (40m 45s):
You know, I mean, that was obviously a tragedy. It was obviously a terrible, you know, that that guy should definitely face charges for that. You know, cause it was, it was messed up. Whatever happened that George Guy riots can happen for a variety of reasons that, you know, protests easily, easily can turn into riots. I think we all have seen that example numerous times over the past couple of months, right?
1 (41m 16s):
So being that these peaceful protests or these situations can turn into riots, generally the best thing you can do is avoid that situation, right? So if you’re driving in your car and you hear that, there’s going to be a quote unquote peaceful protest down in, I dunno, let’s say Phoenix, okay. Or orange, orange County, you know, or whatever who cares where you are.
1 (41m 50s):
There’s going to be a peaceful protest in an area that you normally drive through on your way to work. Well, I would hope that you would turn on your common sense switch and maybe a way that, you know, it may take you a little longer to get to work. You know, it may get you there a little bit late, but I think your MOS will understand that you’ll be a little bit late. I mean, of course you probably want to call and let them know.
1 (42m 22s):
But I mean, they watch the news too. They know that there’s riots going on in the area and depending on how well, you know, your boss, your boss may know that you actually travel through the area where they’re having these protests to get to work. So if that’s the case and you’re a little bit late that day, I think your boss would understand. So the best thing you can do, the first thing you can do to protect yourself from someone rest or writing or anything like that is don’t be in the freaking area. Don’t be there.
1 (42m 53s):
It’s really hard to get already if you’re not there. Right. Great. Easy one. Easy, easy, easy. Okay. Don’t be there. All right.
0 (43m 4s):
Right.
1 (43m 6s):
It could happen regardless. Okay. You might live where the peaceful protest is happening. You might live where, you know, and keep in mind when I say peaceful protest, it is in quotes. You guys just can’t see me doing it. Keep in mind that, you know, you may live where this, where it starts, where the epicenter is. So you may not have the choice to quote unquote not be there. Okay. So let’s keep that in mind as well.
1 (43m 37s):
This kind of civil unrest, these kinds of rides, things like that. They can happen almost anywhere. Okay. Anywhere that they’re humans, they can happen. Okay. So that’s something else you need to keep in mind. Like for example, right now, if you were to decide to travel to China, I wouldn’t advise that you didn’t go to Hong Kong. Okay. I would just say you probably shouldn’t want to do that. You know? Cause that plays a little bit vulnerable right now. Right? Okay. So avoid, avoid, avoid just don’t freaking go there, man.
1 (44m 9s):
That’s your best option. Okay. But sometimes even if it is an actually peaceful protest, sometimes there’s instigators in those crowds. Okay. And when there are instigators in those crowds, there are things that can happen and special types of events that all to make that mob or make that protest turn into a mob. Okay.
1 (44m 39s):
So if that’s the case, for some reason that happens, there are some things that you could do to, you know, make it a little bit easier on yourself. You know, there are certain things that you can kind of keep in mind as you will. Okay. They’d also, it’s not just the whole writing thing. There’s also times where people won’t panic and they’ll start trampling people. You know, like it, I was at a concert once down in, in Phoenix and I forget what the band was playing, but one of them had to, Oh, I think it was deaf tones.
1 (45m 17s):
Anyways, somebody had thrown a shoe at the lead singer and he’s like, if anybody else throws anything, I’m leaving this stage. Well, someone else threw a shoe at him. I don’t know who throws their shoe, but whatever. Anyways, somebody else threw issue at him. So he said, forget it, you know, F this I’m gone and threw down the mic and walked off. So people started to get really pissed off at that concert. Now, granted, they were only the opening act who gives a crap.
1 (45m 49s):
Right. But they were pretty upset. As far as that goes, they were very, very upset. So I dunno, I dunno if that’s one of those things that you gotta keep in mind that area at that point started to get a little bit ugly. People started to run. People started to, you know, break things and pull things down and stuff like that. Then after they started to basically start breaking things, the security team came out on stage and they had these massive fire extinguishers that were not full of fire, extinguishing items.
1 (46m 35s):
They were full of tear gas and pepper spray. And they basically started to fog the entire front of the Colosseum area there. So all the seats in front got a nice big thing of tear gas or maze or whatever the heck it was. Yeah. They got a big Snoop full of it because they could free may themselves. You know? So after that happened, all the people behind them and even damn upfront started to run.
1 (47m 6s):
They started to get out of there cause they didn’t want to get pepper sprayed to, they didn’t want to get and say, we want to get to your desk. So everybody starts to run towards the axis. Well, people got trampled, you know, people got hurt really, really bad. I remember seeing one guy that had most of his ribs broken, laying on the ground. And there was probably about five paramedics around him. You know, I’m trying to keep them protected until they could get him on the gurney and get them out of there. But it was, it was a very, very scary situation. Those situations can happen, you know, before you’re ready for them, they can happen very, very easily.
1 (47m 40s):
So you’ve got to keep those things in mind. It is something very, very important. Okay. Now there are things that you can do in those situations to make it a little bit easier on yourself and make it easier for you to survive. Especially if it’s like a, you know, trampling, stampede kind of thing. Okay. One of the easiest things you can do in that situation is just basically find something to hide behind.
1 (48m 11s):
You know, like if you’re inside of the Colosseum or something like that, man, find one of those, one of those big stone pillars and get behind that thing, dude, let people run by it fine. But you put yourself up against it and they’re on by. They’re going to get you, they ain’t going to be able to stampede you because you’re up against that pole. You’re going to be okay. It’s gonna be fine. You know, you can also, if you’re actually, you know, if you’re headed the same direction, if you’re scared to, and you’re trying to run and get to your car, you know, you gotta keep in mind that people mostly in those situations, they pretty much move like a, like a herd, you know, like the zombies, you know, bunches, zombies moving, you know, same pace, same speed, same everything.
1 (49m 2s):
Okay. Generally human beings are going to do the same thing. All right. So that’s something to keep in mind. If they’re headed one direction, go that direction. Don’t be the one idiot that keeps going forward. Okay. So make sure that you’re going with it while you, while you’re in that situation. If you end up in that situation, hopefully you don’t, hopefully none of this stuff is applicable to anybody. I really hope no one ever needs any of this information.
1 (49m 32s):
But if you do is available, okay, we’ve got about 10 minutes left guys. So I’m just going to keep moving forward and do the best I can for you here. All right. Next thing. When you are actually faced with the police officers, you know, like if you get caught in riot or something like that, like I was saying before, you know these guys, they’re, they’re trying to quell this uprising.
1 (50m 5s):
They’re trying to quell this riot. They’re trying to stop it from happening. Okay. So they’re going to use any means necessary. They’re going to use all kinds of stuff to put this thing down. All right. So one of the biggest tools that they will use is tear gas. That’s one of their big ones, you know, but they do also use pepper ball, grenades, beanbag rounds.
1 (50m 40s):
I think there is some pepper gas. Now there are pepper ball launchers. There are like fire hoses that they use with know trucks, things like that I’ve even seen. It was funny, but I’ve even seen tactical fire hoses. Yes. They were on one of those SWAT vehicles. And it makes me laugh when I think about it, but they had painted a black to go with the truck.
1 (51m 15s):
And all I could think of was, you know, it’s a tactical fire hose, man. I gotta put out this fire tactically, you know, but you know, I mean, I get a date when it to match the vehicle and all that stuff. But fire hoses, speaking of them, you know, viruses are no joke, you know, water cannon, fire hose and whatever, you know, they are no joke. Okay. So if you’re in a situation where they are going to use like a fire hose and like that, just get the heck on the ground, get down and, you know, cover a beer head, do what you can, but do not stand in the way of that dang thing.
1 (52m 2s):
Cause it’s literally going to knock you down, like getting punched by my patient. Okay. You are not going to be able to withstand that. You’ll want to make sure that all your, you know, your normal organs, things like that, you want to make sure that they’re nice and protected. Okay. So feel free to lay down or you’re there or whatever. But that’s the, that’s the easy version of that part. Okay. Water is big pain is, you know, water hose, whatever you want to call it.
1 (52m 32s):
Right. Another one, like we were talking about tear gas and pepper ball and you know, sting ball, grenades, things like that. You know, there’s also flash bangs. You know, the, a lot of these guys use flash bangs. Okay. Flash bangs. Well, I mean, there are some that are a flashing and a bang. There are some that are, are just the sound, you know, the, a bang instead of the flash and the bang. And then there are some that are just the flash.
1 (53m 2s):
Okay. But you know, for the sake of time, we’ll just stick with the actual flash bang itself, this kind of thing, you know, it’s really, really hard to mitigate against. You can pull your ears to help with the, with the loud sound, the loud detonation of that decimal. You can definitely use that. Okay. You can, you can use that technique by plugging your ears.
1 (53m 32s):
Now you can also have some, if you happen to have some earplugs with you, which, you know, if you go to the shooting range a lot, you might just have a set in your pocket. You never know. But if that’s the case, you know, you can put it in your earplugs unless you want to be able to hear what everyone’s saying to you directly afterwards. It’s really up to you. Anyways, pull your ears, tried to not look at the flash when it goes off.
1 (54m 3s):
It’s a, it’s a really, really good thing to make sure that you don’t get affected by these. Okay. There’s a reason that SWAT teams and spec ops teams use flash bangs and they go into a room and so they can get, you know, they can, they can have that dynamic movement and they can get dominating, draw that room quickly. Okay. And that’s basically what’s happening when you go to riots and things like that. And they started throwing these flash bangs it’s cause they want to dominate that area, that the riots in and do it quickly.
1 (54m 34s):
Okay. Some of the stuff that these crazy rioters and looters might have, they might have all kinds of different weapons. Okay. Some of the most common ones that you’ll likely to run into are going to be, you know, like bottles. I mean, we were just talking about multiple cocktails a little while back, you know, bottles are, are around man. They are quite often right on the street.
1 (55m 6s):
You know, there are some that are on the street, especially if there’s a bar close by, but of course glass bottles can be found in the trash, all sorts of different places. So you gotta keep your eye out for that because you know, first of all, they hurt like hell and they break over your head, dude, second, you know, they shatter and they leave glass everywhere. You know, you can get cut up pretty bad. If you fall on the ground. For some reason, I get that water hose sprays you and you fall on the ground.
1 (55m 39s):
I fall out a bunch of glass that can be a bad day, maybe a super, super bad day. So you want to make sure that you’re aware of what your enemies have and what you have. Okay. Yeah, definitely, definitely be prepared for that side of thing. All right. So, you know, whatever, anyways, so bottles, that’s a big one.
1 (56m 12s):
Okay. Another thing you’ll want to keep in mind when it comes to the broken glass stuff is, you know, getting glass in your eyes. If you were in sandals, you might get glass in your sandals. I don’t know why you’d be barefoot in this situation. Many of your barefoot that’s really, really, really bad. Definitely don’t want that. You know, things of that nature. You know, if you, if you’ve seen people throwing bottles, you know, try to put on your sunglasses or something like that, try to try to cover your eyes because that’s pretty doggone important.
1 (56m 47s):
Okay. You can’t just go buy a new set of eyes at the, at the Walmart, you know, or Safeway. They just don’t have in there, at least not on any of the shelves that I’ve seen lately anyways. So let’s see what other kinds of weaponry might a crazy bunch of goofballs for using sticks. You know, they still like sticks clubs, you know, rocks, things like that. You have to be careful when you get into it with somebody that has a stick.
1 (57m 19s):
Okay. Cause if they know what they’re doing, they’re going to be going for your neck and they’re going to be going for your head, your temple, things like that. And they have a stick like that. Like let’s say a cut down broomstick or something, or even a screaming stick, whatever they might use the end of the stick as well. It’s kind of a stabbing or poking instrument. Okay. And they don’t need to have it sharpened to hurt you pretty badly. Okay.
1 (57m 50s):
One good wrap on the ribs with those kind of fix, you know, or, or whatever is definitely most likely and a break. Something they’re very, very strong. So I don’t know. I don’t know. You know, you gotta keep these things in mind now on the other side of that, of course, you know, officers carry nightsticks or Toms or whatever you wanna call them. They have those ASP batons. Now those things are really, really nice, but I know some departments prefer to use something different, which is perfectly fine.
1 (58m 24s):
You, his department can do its own thing, no big deal. Right. So that’s something to keep in mind too. You know,
5 (58m 36s):
There’s a lot of them,
1 (58m 37s):
Other things too, like, you know, when the police are moving through the lines, they’ve got these free and right shields dude, they’ve got the big plastic right. Shields. And you know, some of them are, are Bulletproof, but generally they’ve got these big plastic like Sans or whatever that you can see right through. But you can’t go right through, it is definitely not a door or a window. Right. But yeah, you know, a lot of them have the deal ride shields that they like to use to.
1 (59m 8s):
Another thing to keep in mind is, you know, larger rocks, you know, at the, all these protests for the, for, you know, the different groups that were doing them, there was saying that, you know, there were pallets of bricks showing up at places where they were going to do their riots. And I mean, are you kidding me, dude? You’re like supplying these people of ammo. That’s fricking nuts, dude.
5 (59m 35s):
So that’s
1 (59m 36s):
Something to keep in mind from the bad guys, you know, or not bad guys, but from the protesters or the rioters, you know, you keep in mind, they might pick a brick or a gigantic rock or something like that and smashing the window to your vehicle or to your house or whatever. Okay. Or throw it at your face. You know, during the Rodney King riots, some guy got hit in the face with a brick by someone who, you know, was writing, you know, so it can, you can get a really, really badly hurt, very, very easily.
5 (1h 0m 9s):
So
1 (1h 0m 11s):
Anyways, well guys, there’s a lot more I could go through, you know, there’s different types of weaponry and ammunition that the police can use. And they’re just so, so, so, so much more I could go with, you know, one last thing, if you’re out there in the middle of a ride, if you’re in civil and rest, you know, anything like that, do whatever the police say and stay the heck out of their way, man, because they are going to need to do their job.
1 (1h 0m 42s):
You get in the way you’re just the same as any writer, any person breaking the law, they are going to take appropriate action to get there
5 (1h 0m 50s):
Out of the way. Okay.
1 (1h 0m 53s):
Trust me. They are going to overpower you one way or the other. All right. So just do what they say instead of hell, out of the way. Okay. Say, wait, can we do what they say?
