There may be no other topic as confidential as fracking. Why? We are Americans and we love cheap energy. Its easy to turn a blind eye to reality when our material lifestyle is benefit 10 fold through this innovative process. If we can have cheap energy harvested here in the states then that frees up money for vacations, trips, college, so on so forth. Of course nothing in this life comes without consequence. The problem is the general public is on the fence about just what that consequence is. Will we all be dead or filled with malignant tumors in 20 years because of our greed for cheap fuel? Or is this hydraulic fracturing in its early stages and the contamination and risk we have heard of is simply a one off? What does a one off mean to you? A lot if your water source is the one off.

Till now I have only heard from the fringe on each side. Folks so riled up that they make documentaries and protest about fracking or those who clearly have skin in the game and expect us to believe that cracking open the earth and dumping chemicals into it have no adverse effects. So, that leaves us with what? Well I think that leaves us with a lot.

I am going to do my best to pull together as much info on this topic to really paint a picture. I want to know the facts. If the state of New York has completely banned Hydraulic Fracturing yet the George Washington National Forest has just come online it cannot be so cut and dry. Or maybe it is and we have to take a hard and fast stand against it. Either way the time is now to discuss this and get on the right side of history.
