This is a topic I love to talk about. This is also one of the toughest topics in the prepper world. People run from fitness and its kind of funny to me. I get it but at the same time its essential so I will keep drilling it into you. I read the most incredible articles on different preparedness topics throughout the week. Rarely do I come across a prepper topic that really hones in on fitness and its importance.
One of the big reasons people shy away from working out is the recovery. It hurts and inhibits your daily motion. I want to talk about ways to attack recovery in such a way that you can limit or eliminate the pain and discomfort of working out. Never forget that the purpose of fitness is either to breakdown muscle and build it back stronger or to exhaust your cardiovascular system in a way the requires it to reprogram. Any way you look at it working out is first about destruction and then about recovery. Optimization of the recovery is just as important, if not more so, in the grand scheme.
There are several tactics that I personally employ. Some of these are nutritional, some are physical and others are just plain strange. This world of recovery is growing with the help of competitive athletes. We will also talk about some neat practices out there that have been developed by science.
This show will be a gem. Especially if you are in or are considering beginning a fitness routine. Of course it will also be littered with the same token mental wanderings you have come accustomed to. See you there.
