Skill sets, Entrepreneurs and Shop ClassThere is much to be said about the benefits of early skills training, like wood shop, metal shop and even home economics. The skills learned in these classes were designed to help the youth better serve themselves and each other in small communities across America.

You’re not alone. Skills training courses for kids have slowed down to almost nothing in the last two decades, supplemented with digital coursework and a push for higher education after High School instead of vocational schooling.

But there is hope. Join us on this week’s show where we talk with Joe, proprietor at Survival Stove Works. Joe’s early introduction to shop classes combined with his passion for survival skills drove him to create one of the world’s easiest, lightest and most efficient wood burning survival stoves on the market.

This amazing product has two versions, one weighing less than 6.5 Lbs. (~100 oz.) and another weighing less than 2.2 Lbs. (~35 oz.)! Join us as we go into the specifics of these two amazing products, why they would serve you in almost any survival situation, and be sure to join us in the chat room for an opportunity to speak with the owner on air, and get first hand testament of skills training at its core. And, since this made-in-America product is featured here at Prepper Brodcasting Network, be sure to enter your name for a chance to win one of these two products!

Also, don’t miss out on the Pint-Sized Prepper Project of the week where Colin goes over some kid-friendly ways to make tinder from the typical childhood everyday carry items!
