Steve Asbell started gardening to create a prettier view for his handicapped and Lupus-afflicted mother, but that garden soon blossomed into a blog and a career in illustration and writing. Steve’s mother passed away in 2012 but he plans to continue gardening for his apartment complex in her memory even after moving out. His book Plant by Numbers is about combining houseplants to make beautiful living arrangements and can be purchased wherever books are sold.
