TOM ABRAHAMS: Award Winning Journalist, Best Selling Author

On this week’s episode of the Prepping for Tomorrow program with Author Bobby Akart, award winning journalist and bestselling author Tom Abrahams will be my special guest. As a weekend evening anchor for ABC News 13 in Houston, a top ten media market, Tom has reported to viewers from distant places such as Chernobyl and the Panama Canal, to The Amazon Jungle and the Black Sea.

Tom also covers national politics and stories that relate to energy, the environment, and the economy. His vast experience and excellence in his award-winning reports have earned him three regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, the most recent in 2010 for an in-depth look at overcrowded trauma centers.

He’s reported from the East Room of White House and Capitol Hill, interviewed Presidents and presidential candidates, and was at the Pentagon while smoke still rose in the hours after 9/11.

Post-apocalyptic and dystopian fiction, by the nature of the genre, places the characters in a world full of desperation and despair. Tom’s first hand knowledge gives him unique insight into this genre. He has applied this incredible background to writing post-apocalyptic thrillers, action adventure, and political conspiracies.  In addition to his critically acclaimed Jackson Quick Adventure series, Tom has penned three novellas for The Perseid Collapse Kindle World entitled the Pilgrimage series.
