Prepping should not be 24/7 seriousIn the first segment I cover the equities markets, metals, the dollar, Shanghai metal prices, BDI, VIX…All of the Indicators that we’ve been following. I believe that it is critical for us to closely monitor all activity at the beginning of the production chain. In the 2nd segment, I cover all of the economic news items from the past week. For the main topic for this show I have chosen to discuss Life and why it is unhealthy to be a serious Prepper all of the time.

We are all human and as humans, we have certain needs. As much as we may need to be prepared, we also need to live our lives. When I first began years ago, I was just focusing on prepping. I was obsessed with my checklists.

In time, I discovered that life is not all serious so I found some diversions. World of Tanks, the online tank game. Playing music again; developing my bass playing. Ham radio; this was a duel hobby as it filled a prep and then it became interesting to talk with other Hams around the world. I purchased all of George Carlin’s HBO Specials on YouTube.

I love comedy and all things funny. Like Triumph the Insult Comic Dog or going back in time and listening to the Howard Stern show from the late 80’s with Billy West and Jackie The Jokeman. The bottom line is that we all need diversions. Prepping is 90% mental and it’s important for us to be practical and yet, still get our preps done.
