Jane is city-girl turned prepper/homesteader – moving to the Appalachian Mountains from Central Florida.  She is the creator and editor of the disaster survival and preparedness website www.SurvivorJane.com Her mission has become educating people on how to better prepare themselves by sharing her experiences and research in an easy to understand, straight-forward manner on various mental preparedness topics.

As an additional outreach, Jane created the hashtag #PrepperTalk resulting in the Largest Prepper Community forum on Twitter of which Karen Lynn and many others participate in.  This community has brought people from all over the world together to discuss all things “preparedness”.  And, after noticing what seemed to be a lack of focus in personal hygiene and cleanliness in preparedness plans, Jane authored the book “Where There is No Cosmetic Counter” and a first revision, “Survivor Jane’s Guide to:Emergency/Survival Hygiene – A Prepper Cookbook on Making Survival Hygiene Products. Her new book, “What Could Possibly Go Wrong??? – How to Go from Completely Clueless to Totally Prepared” was just released.

Jane is a contributor to National Geographic Channel’s Doomsday Preppers blogTV and to numerous preparedness periodicals such as Prepper and Shooter Magazine and Prepare Magazine to name a few.  She was featured in Season 4 of Doomsday Preppers receiving the 2^nd highest score in the show’s history and in the 2015 Special Newsweek Edition – OFF-GRID.

When Jane isn’t writing, you will find her on any one of her social media network sites discussing preparedness with others, or performing various homesteading tasks at her mountain top retreat. She is a public speaker at various preparedness conventions and expos; as well the co-host of Prepper Camp™; the largest three-day outdoor preparedness event in the country focusing preparedness, survival and homesteading skills.
