Continuing the journey through the book entitled ‘Rules for Radicals’ written by Saul Alinsky, we review the chapter titled ‘The Purpose’. Building upon the framework highlighted in the Prologue, we familiarize ourselves with his ideology regarding the transfer of political power. We discover Mr. Alinsky’s viewpoint toward certain societal constructs he believes are ‘realities’ and their resultant behaviors. With this probe, we exposes his view of the forces at work in the political sphere. Also, we examine his views of class distinctions and their contributions to historical sociological development.

Finally, we highlight portions of the chapter that confirm and contradict previous statements. This commentary will assist us in ascertaining the source of volatile viewpoints and their resultant actions within our society. By recognizing these core tenets, we improve our understanding of the current political climate and fortify ourselves against their negative impact on modern culture.
