Last Tuesday, the latest global ransomware attack struck, focused primarily in Ukraine and Russia. If you have been looking for the perfect event to get through to your non-prepping loved ones, the Petya ransomware attack is it. And if the ransomware attack didn’t shake you into prepping harder, it should.
What does this latest ransomware attack have to do with herbs? It may not seem like much at first. But, I urge you to consider the sustainability of growing and wildcrafting your own herbal medicine for just such emergencies. Which herbs do you need? I will give a list during the show of herbs you should be familiar with and why.
Here’s why: this latest ransomware attack hit the pharmaceutical giant, Merck. Merck has operations in Ukraine, where it became exposed to the computer virus. It spread to Merck’s US-based computers and servers, effectively shutting down operations. According to The Washington Post, employees have voiced concern over potential loss of critical information. I hope this critical information loss wasn’t research on new antibiotics.
Add to this mess that the world’s largest global shipping company, A.P. Moller-Maersk, was brought to a standstill. Maersk was able to get minimal operations back up within 48 hours, but the company still doesn’t know when it will resume full, normal operations. Think of everything we import from food to medicine. If you need to stock up on anything, this is the time to do so.
This should make anyone pause and rethink their medical preps. With 1 out of every 2 adults in the US with a chronic illness, odds are you or someone you care about is dependent upon some form of needed medication, which are now all manufactured in China.
Herbs offer a safety net in the face of cyber attacks. You can grow your own. You can gather your own. You can make your own herbal remedies. If you do order herbs instead of growing them, they are affordable enough to order in bulk.
This latest attack comes just weeks after the WannaCry ransomware attack. These attacks are not going to just go away. They will keep happening, and they won’t be limited to Ukraine or to a handful of global companies. It is your responsibility to be ready, and herbs can help you do this.
