We have all been thinking about it. There is not one person reading this show description that hasn’t sat down and considered removing their Facebook, deleting their youtube channel and shutting down their twitter page. We have all been, at least, mentally affected by the things we have seen in 2018. This year these companies took off the mask and proved that they are powerful enough to put people out of business. People that they don’t agree with.

Now, if you are a freedom loving American that should bother you. It should bother you if its Alex Jones who is going out of business, thought he is not, or if its Bill Maher. We should never delight in the fact that an overpowered tech company is destroying jobs, silencing opponent voices and ruining the landscape of the first amendment in American. Those are tough accusations but that is exactly what’s going on here.

The big question is:

What are you gonna do about it?

The development of this show description has led us to a question. I feel like all of our moral decisions are leading us to important questions lately. We now understand the problem and we even see the full depth of the consequences. After that, we are challenged, alone, to make the right decisions about our own personal action.

On this show we have Steven Menking on to talk about decentralized platforms in social media, video and other options that can be a substitute for some of the big corrupt players in the game. Steven is crypto finance professional and spends a lot of time in the decentralized world. He will be able to offer us some options but we must be willing to lose reach, convince others and make the bigger change.

Our government is not going to deflate Google or Facebook. These monopolies will exist and they will become kings in our society. You could argue this has already happened and by their decree we lose the voice and the audience we have built on their platform.
