On this week’s episode of the Prepping for Tomorrow program with Author Bobby Akart, our special guest will be best-selling author, ML Banner.

Michael “ML” Banner is a serial entrepreneur, having formed dozens of businesses over the years. He founded and currently runs SmallBiZ.com which helps small businesses form and maintain entities, and has formed almost 100,000 entities over its 17 years of existence.

His current love is writing and self-publishing, having written and self-published five books, including three #1 best-sellers that have sold over 50,000 copies. He writes what he loves to read and watch in movies: apocalyptic thrillers. He especially loves common folks being put into extraordinary circumstances and using knowledge and wit to find a way to survive.

When not running a business or writing, Michael and his wife split time between their homes in Tucson and on a beach in Mexico. He and his wife also travel having visited dozens of countries—some multiple times—over the years. In the fall, they’re taking their third transatlantic cruise, both for fun and for book research. Their ship will be the foreground of a new series coming out in 2017.

Michael (who is also a hunter) and his wife are prepper newbies. After doing research for his books and visualizing so many SHTF scenarios, they have begun their prepping journey in earnest. And with a second home in Mexico, they have unique issues that they have to add to their prepping plans.

In 2014, Michael released book one in his Stone Age series. This is a chilling series about a ordinary Americans who are unprepared for the apocalypse about to strike Earth in the form of a devastating solar flare. Michael points out that our earth is fighting a daily battle, shielding us and our life-giving technology from the electromagnetic ravages of the sun.

Every 100 years or so, we are hit by an epic solar storm that could devastate our world’s electrical-based society were it to strike today. It happened last in 1859 with the Carrington Event, when we had little technology. We are past due!
