Wild West Apocalypse!
Wild West Apocalypse!
Host: Jacqueline Druga “Apocalypse Nana”
This Thursday, saddle up for some fun as The Apocalypse Nana Show brings you, “INTO THE WILD WEST”! Join Jackie, Rob, and Dom as they discuss similarities between the post-apocalyptic world and The Wild West!
When the world as we know it ends, what will it be like? This is a topic the show is very familiar with; However, this week, our hosts will discuss the theory that the world after a global disaster may resemble the Wild West more than it resembles what we’ve come to imagine as the world’s fate. With the population in tatters, and survivors trekking toward the dream, the future may be more like the past than we think! Also, how would this survival situation change our view of law and order?
If society is scattered across the “wasteland”, would the same rules apply across all settlements? Our crack team of Apocalyptic experts will discuss the Apocalyptic West and all the bandits, bounties, and bullets that goes with it! Will there be outlaws? Will there be heroes? How will this affect your preparation for the end of days? These questions and more will be asked and answered on the show, and we invite you to join in the fun! Call in and ask a question or join in the live chat during the show to debate the topic with other listeners!
Plus, we have a very special guest joining us on the show that’s sweeping the post-apocalyptic nation! This week, we’re joined by Byron Tucker! Byron is the author of the book “Winter Fall“, the story of one family’s struggle to survive the aftermath of the eruption of the Yellowstone Supervolcano. He’ll be discussing his new book, his experiences writing it, and the reception that it has received so far. Jackie and the gang will also be asking Byron his opinions on the apocalypse/Wild West debate, and if he has any insight that could help you prepare for it! We’re very excited to have Byron on the show this week, and if you have any questions or comments for him, or about “Winter Fall”, be apart of the show by calling in or joining the chat!
Also, coming up next week is our holiday special, “It’s Apocalypse Nana, Charlie Brown!” Make sure you set your calendar and join Jackie, Dom, and Rob as they walking through a Winter Wasteland!
Plus, be sure to check out the Apocalypse Nana Facebook page for your chance to vote for “The Nennies”, our year-end review and award show! All this and more, coming your way as we wrap up 2014!

More info on Byron Tucker and “Winter Fall”:
Byron Tucker was born and raised in North Carolina, and for as long as he can remember, he’s had an intense desire for adventure and to try new things. At fifteen, he made an attempt to break a Guinness World Record, at seventeen, he learned to fly an airplane, and two years later, he went on a four-month backpacking expedition to Australia and New Zealand.
In his twenties, he moved to Florida and held a number of jobs, ranging from city planner to home inspector and graphic design. Always an avid reader, he took up writing science fiction as a hobby, with the hopes and dreams of one day becoming a published author.
In 2005, Byron moved to Atlanta, Georgia, volunteering for a year with Americorps, working with displaced Hurricane Katrina victims. It was around this time when he developed a strong interest in apocalyptic themes and how to prep for them. He became an active member of several web forums, writing about an endless number of doomsday scenarios.
More recently, he wrote a novel tying in with his insatiable thirst for wild adventure and cataclysmic events. He published his debut novel Winter Fall in October 2014, and it quickly reached the top ten bestseller lists in three genres on Amazon KDP.
Byron is currently writing full-time on his next novel titled Dark Summer, which will be released in early 2015. When he’s not writing, he enjoys woodworking, hiking and seeking out new places both near and far.
