The word ‘paranormal’ is defined as: anything that is beyond or contrary to what is deemed scientifically possible!

It is basically a newer word, only in existence for 100 years. When most people think ‘Paranormal’ they think ghosts, vampires, witches, odd people you meet at Walmart. But in fact, it stretches way beyond that scope, it also encompasses, UFOS and Cryptids, which are unexplained animals, like Bigfoot, Lochness Monster, Yeti.

So one may think what does this have to do with survival? The best way to begin to explain this week’s Apocalypse nana show is from, Ghostbusters. Taken from that movie ….

This city is headed for a disaster of biblical proportions. Real wrath of God type stuff. Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes…The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together… mass hysteria!

All brought on by …. Ghosts. RIPD, another movie, very similar deals with an impending apocalypse brought on by … spirits. The great movie Independence Day … does as well.

This week we will be discussing all things Paranormal. What scares us? What have we experienced? Can they indeed be events we prepare for.

It promises to be a fun filled show.

Our guests are going to be an eclectic bunch.

With us we have Drew Brown. Drew is a musician, filmmaker, actor and all around nice guy. His interest in paranormal goes back to a very early age. Does he believe in things that go bump in the night? What are his theories? We’ll find out.

When asked the Apocalypse Nana standard question about describing himself as a survivor, Drew said, “I am Legend … ary.”

We are excited to have returning for this special episode.

Briar Lee Mitchell. Briar, as you recall works with K-9 Search and rescue and teaches Video Game creation. She is also a writer and artist. Her book, Big Ass Shark, is a kick butt read. Briar is a fun, informative woman and we always welcome her back.

Also returning is Stephen, the Koz Kozeniewski. The Koz lives with his wife and two cats in Pennsylvania, the birthplace of the modern zombie. During his time as a Field Artillery officer, he served for three years in Oklahoma and one in Iraq, where due to what he assumes was a clerical error, he was awarded the Bronze Star. He is also a classically trained linguist, which sounds much more impressive than saying his bachelor’s degree is in German.

Both of our returning guests will share thoughts and skepticism, along with, hopefully some cool stories.
