“Following this summer’s drought, the price of animal feed has soared, as have the prices for hay. In order to cope, many ranchers are selling off all, or portions of their livestock. Likely, you’ve read the reports that meat prices are going to drop as we head into winter. Get it while you can, because when the sell-off is finished, prices are anticipated to rise dramatically, as demand will exceed supply. There’s no better time to make sure you have all the supplies you need in order to can meat, and take advantage of the temporary, brief drop in meat prices. Katzcradul of  “The Homestead Honey Hour” is prepared to answer your questions and to discuss a variety of ways to preserve meat, and offer suggestions of ways to store meat, you might not have considered.
